THE GOLF SCHOOL Smithtown Landing is the home of Michael Hebron's School for Learning Golf.
This location offers private, semi private and group lessons with a variety of
PGA instructors trained in the Hebron philosophy as well as lessons with Michael.
The school conducts half day short game workshops and full day workshops. SHORT GAME WORKSHOP, LONG ISLAND - The half day session begins in the classroom where the session is personalized
for each student. - Instruction - Reinforced with slow motion video clips. - Practice Green - putting, chipping, pitching, and trouble shots -
optional sand shot lesson or a video taping and replay. - Instructors review your current putter with a complimentary fitting session. - Short Game Workshop Follow-up at a later date with questions to instructors or
through E Mail. FULL DAY WORKSHOP, LONG ISLAND 6 1/2 hour session Gives you a foundation of knowledge to build your golf skills. 3 to 1 student teacher ratio. Classroom and Practice Range Sessions. Complimentary Book, See and Feel the Inside Move the Outside. Invitation to a Henry Griffitts Club Fitting Session at the club. Includes continental breakfast and lunch. Morning: Session begins in the classroom where the session is personalized for each student. Instruction - Reinforced with slow motion video clips. Your swing is video taped during the warm up session at the range. The tape is sent
up to our processing center, where computer wizards edit your swing with the same
computerized equipment used at Olympic Training Camps. A variety of information is
placed onto your video tape including graphic lines depicting points to concentrate on.
You'll see your swing in frame-by- frame, still frame, slow motion, or side-by-side
comparisons with a touring pro. Afternoon: Students use advanced teaching and training aids to help achieve maximum results.
In addition to instruction, students receive drills, exercises, equipment and
physical attribute evaluations.
The school's facilities include a 6,000 square foot and a 3,500 square foot putting
greens with surrounding short game shot areas, a practice sand trap, irons driving range
with mirror lined covered bays, and a swing plane practice area filled with a vari ety of
training devices. A building adjacent to the range houses a video review room and electronic
practice aids. The classroom houses the most progressive video technology in the industry
accompanied by a library of video tapes and reference posters unmatched at any other facility.
